Baba Ram Dev strongly advocates yoga for a healthy mind and healthy body. One of the yoga techniques that he emphasizes on is “abhyasa.” It is a state of mind when it is in maximum steady state. In other words, abhyasa is achieved when the mind stops wandering. This technique comprises of three phases respectively known as dharana, dhyana and samadhi.
Dharana is a state of mind when it gets detached from all materialistic pleasures and focus on some particular things such as dot, idol, etc. Here the absolute concentration is diverted to a single track. It is a hard state of mind to achieve since it’s not easy to adopt vairagya.
As the individual meditates more, the attention gets more directed towards that object and the set of thoughts becomes restricted. He just starts thinking about that particular thing. This is the state of dhyana.
When dhyana gets purified and more stable than ever before, it is called as samadhi. In this state of mind, all the evil spirits of a man vanish and get replaced with pious thoughts.
