Now, the jawans from 25th Battalion at Chhawla learnt yoga from Swami Ram Dev. At west Delhi, hundreds of BSF jawans poured on the extensive landscaped ground to learn Pranyama, Bhujang Asana, Manduka Asana from the distinguished and world famous yoga guru. BSF jawans who live away from their respective families for stretched periods of time undergo a great fit of depression and anxiety but yoga is a great stress buster. The 10-day-long yoga camp organized by Baba Ram Dev is a great occasion for these jawans who come have come forward to beat their stress by extensive workouts. The shiver has been received with utmost seriousness by these para military personnels. This shiver has been organized by Welfare and Rehabilitation Board (Warb) and has been attended by 3, 000 soldiers from CRPF, BSF, CISF, SSB, NSG etc.

Baba Ram Dev’s yoga camp at Pune witnessed around 1,300 athletes and 350 officials, who participated in eight-day long yoga camp. He imparted the basic yoga lessons to the young athletes, who flowed in here from different parts of the world. The yoga camp was organized to enhance the psycho-physical fitness of these participants. During this week long yoga session, the participants practiced varied asanas and breathing exercises such as Pranayama, Kapalbhati, Bhastrika etc to help the athletes gain mental composure and physical fitness. Baba Ram Dev declared that these yoga postures and deep breathing exercises will help the people of this age to beat the stress of their lives and gain peace of mind, which will help them in coming up with the outstanding performance and prosperity. Many foreign participants after attending the yoga lesson said they felt refreshed and loaded with energy. And this has also increased their energy and concentration levels.

Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has decided to enhance the work efficiency of its employees by organizing a yoga camp that will be marked by the presence of Baba Ram Dev. Swami Ram Dev will be imparting yoga lessons and wellness tips to the entire staff of PMC. The camp will be organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium on October 18 and it is mandatory for all the staff members of PMC to attend. Pravinsinh Pardeshi, the Municipal Commissioner, declares that the staff of PMC works under stressful circumstances. Hence, they need to attend this very essential yoga camp by Baba Ram Dev that will relieve them of this stress and anxiety and will enable them to focus o their work. Not only the staff members, but also their families have been invited to attend the yoga camp. The camp will also be attended by Ajit Pawar, the Guardian Minister and Harshwardhan Patil, the State Minister for Marketing.

Baba Ram Dev, the renowned yoga guru, has decided to start a yoga shivir for the soldiers of Central paramilitary forces from October 17, 2008. It will be a 10 days long camp. The event is going to be organized by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The ministry wishes to beat the stress of the personnel of paramilitary forces. It is a rough estimate that around four to five thousand security personnels will be trained in this camp. They will be taught the yoga lessons, asanas, meditation techniques and basic breathing exercises. This will be done with the objective that the trained personnel will further train the other soldiers of their own battalions so that the soldiers posted in the remote areas can also practice yoga and keep themselves stress free and healthy. Baba Ram Dev has organized such great events in the past also. More than 60,000 soldiers of paramilitary troops have benefited from training at Vyakti Vikas Kendra.

Baba Ram Dev reached Pilani, Rajasthan on October 8, 2008. The crowd needed no introduction of this great personality. He went to Pilani to grace the auspicious ninth day of Navratra. The world famous Swami Ram Dev addressed a huge crowd that had gathered at Birla Yoga Kendra Pilani to listen to his speech. As usual, Baba Ram Dev succeeded in spellbinding the crowd there. He delivered a speech of two hours, during which the crowd kept sitting captivated by his charm. Baba Ram Dev mixed the right proportion of humor, satire, patriotism and spiritualism in his speech conveying the information and significance of yoga, naturopathy and ayurveda. The stage was massive and apt for the yoga teachings by Baba Ram Dev. He also paid a visit to Birla Yoga Center.

Swami Ramdev very recently laid the foundation stone for Ayurveda & Yoga research Institute in Houston, was invited by US Congressman Nick Lampson to Washington DC. It might soon happen that Baba Ramdev held a training camp for US congressmen. The yoga centre in Houston will be based on 'Pathanjali Yog Peeth' of Haridwar, in India. The Yoga centre will include a clinic to treat chronic ailments, training institute for teachers of yoga, herbal garden and housing for retirees.

Sawami Ramdev was in Los Angeles to conduct a five days long yoga camp at the Anaheim Convention Center. Camp ended on July 13.Camp was attended by over 2000 people from nearby cities. Swami Ramdev held sessions for more than 2 hours every day explaining various forms of Pranayama.

Policeman in Amritsar has adopted Yoga to improve police functioning by increasing the efficiency of the manpower by reducing stress, fatigue and obesity. This experiment is aiming to better police public relations and improved police behavior and to give patience hearing to public, said Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Amritsar Kanwar Vijay Partap Singh. One week long Yoga camp was concluded today whereupon, more than 500 police officers of various ranks right from Constable to SSP participated apart from school teachers and commoners. The camp was organized in collaboration with Amritsar Chapter of Patanjali Yog Vidyapeeth Hardwar (founded by Swami Ramdev).

The state of Haryana is planning to introduce yoga classes in governm ent schools all across the state inspired by yoga guru Swami Ramdev. State Education Minister Phool Chand Mullana quoted, he is keen to introduce the yoga classes from this session itself. The minister's plans include sending physical training & sports teachers to train at the yoga camps of Swami Ramdev. The teachers would then impart yoga training to the hundreds of students in their respective schools.

B ased on the good response in Britain last year, Swami Ramdev is holding Yoga camps for the first time in the US in June-July 2007. Swami Ramdev, who has surpassed many yoga and spiritual gurus in popularity, is scheduled to hold a yoga camp in New York from June 30 and July 1 and another in nearby New Jersey from July 4-8, with a total capacity of about 3,000 at the two places. Moving on to Chicago, he will hold a camp from July 11-15 for about 5,000 people.
