Baba Ram Dev has complied the basic aspects and practices of yoga tradition in his famous book “Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras”. In his work, he has comprehensively described about the origin of human sufferings through “Theory of Kleshas”.
According to this book, the origin of human sufferings is Avidya, the first Klesa. It is a kind of ignorance that originates inside the soul of a human being. Second Klesa, Asmita, originates from this. It refers to the identification of soul along with the different components to it. Raga and Dvesa are the third and fourth Klesa respectively. These refer to desire or fear within the soul of a human being. These clarify the basic existence of a human being in a streamlined state. Abhinivesha is the fifth Klesa. It refers to the most common desires prevalent in the life span of a human being such as desire for life, desire for ego etc.
These Klesas are apt for teaching the man what his existence means. In addition, it teaches the man to live a balanced and peaceful life.
